Erik is a father to three children and a grandfather to one grandson, who keeps him young.  He loves outdoor activities, including hiking, skiing, and camping, is a Phoenix Suns fan, and enjoys live music of all genres.  He is passionate about education and affordable housing, and spends time developing 3D-printed housing solutions and educational programming for under-represented students.  He is familiar with the Phoenix Metropolitan area having graduated from a Scottsdale high school and Arizona State University.
